Meet

Tray is a Native of Oceanside, ca. the son of Clarence and Josephine Crayton Jr. Tray is the second youngest of 5 siblings. A former Professional Athlete, and shortly after his football career, he began a career working in sales and brand Marketing. He has worked for franchises such as 24 Hour Fitness, and the Los Angeles Chargers, to name a few before founding his own company “Turnupwealthy”, a brand consulting business. Tray is a accomplished Author and his book titled “Battled and Bruised” is a memoir of the journey he endured and by the time you finish reading Battled and Bruised, his desire is for you to have the end game that he was blessed to experience. Through his stories, he paints a picture of the human emotional struggle and the damage from physical and mental torture. He wants his journey to inspire you to endure the battles and bruises in your life, to never quit, to never lose hope, to continue to fight through challenges that knock you down, and to continue on no matter what. He states in his memoir that Victory awaits us who do not faint or get weary. We all have stories of the hardships that we go through. Just know you are never Alone.

Tray’s other current projects, “Triumph with Trai Podcast”, and blog “In the Huddle with God”, are based on Triumphing through the challenges in life, with your desired and plan on purpose. The topics discussed revolve around, three key areas in his life, SPORTS, FAITH, LOVE. The goal is to help others in the communities, heal, and create more victories over the tough battles that come against our daily lives.

In 2020 - The year of the pandemic, Tray faced an unsureountable rare disease that nearly took his life. Tray stands solid on the belief that without his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the love and support from his wife Kristal, his two sons Tyler, Kellen, and his entire family, he would not be here today.

Sports

In high school Tray achieved A Football State Championship, including 3 CIF Championships including one in Basketball. As a Quarterback/Athlete he was one of the most highly recruited players in the United States. Tray was awarded the honors of several News writers High School League, CIF, State, and All-American teams, he earned the distinct honor of being placed on Tom Emphingers Top 50 players in the country. A two sport athlete and Captain of both his Football and Basketball teams, Tray decided to play football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and as a True Freshman became a Division 1 National Champion. He transferred to the University of Pittsburgh to finish out his collegiate football career and graduated with a B.A. in Legal Studies. Tray was fortunate to play professional football for the next 7 years.

Faith

A Son of two ministers, Tray is grounded in his faith. His Parents raised 5 children, and founded Faith Temple Christian Center, now known as The Rise Church of Oceanside. His contributions as a brand manager for the ministry, ia one of the great fulfillment in his life. Being unashamed of his beliefs, Tray loves his service to his community, and wants others to know there is peace and goodness available for those those who are in need.

Love

A single father of two boys since the age of 19 is his proudest accomplishment. At a young age, he took the responsibility of being a young black father, and raised the oldest of the two in college, while having the course load of classes and the demand of collegiate football. Tray states “Love for family is the root of his love, being able to live his dream in sports was great, but the biggest value in a persons life is LOVE - LOVE for anything touches the heart”.
